I wish I knew what more people thought about me and Ryan getting married. Like, "oh, I totally saw that coming" or "whoa, they're crazy" or "I'd bet $100 they'll get divorced within three years." Well, maybe you could keep it to yourself if you're in the third category.

Any more unique suggestions or ideas for the ceremony or reception? We want to have a non-boring wedding, so "unique ideas" doesn't mean getting monograms on napkin rings or anything lame like that. Something a little crazy that people will remember as representing our personalities.

I have no idea what type of place you are looking for, but the first two options at this website (click on reception sites) look pretty cool: http://www.memorableaffairs.com/Distinctive_Sites.html

I at one point had a magazine that had a bunch of different reception places in NJ. I don't think I have it anymore, but I am sure you can get it at Barnes and Noble or something.

Also, even though they are a little bit stale, wedding sites like theknot.com, weddingchannel.com, and brides.come are actually pretty helpful.

I always thought that getting married in a huge castle or old mansion would be kind of cool.

Thanks, Julie. A castle-type place would definitely be a hit with both me and Ryan, and those two both look promising.

OK, now that you've caught me red-handed, stalking without commenting, guess it's time to comment. ;-)

1) Congrats again! Of course it ain't official until you net the bling, but that should be coming soon...(pics needed so I can cyber-fawn all over it!)
2) I'm in the "totally saw it coming" department, but hey, I've seen you two lovebirds from the start. Good ol' Human Bonding.
3) Castles rule! Too bad about the garden-type place. I still maintain that an underwater SCUBA wedding would be sweeeet...but then of course all the guests would have to get SCUBA-certified, and anyway, how could you kiss with a mask on?
